The Array Drive is a new mechanical positioning system for microelectrode arrays (MEAs). We designed it to maximize the number of movable electrode channels while minimizing the drive’s size and the hazzle involved in positioning the electrodes. This allows a large number of channels (16-128+) to be used flexibly especially for smaller animals, e.g. rodents, ferrets or cats.

We have obtained first results from an Array Drive in January 2011, some of which were presented at the ARO Midwinter meeting 2011.  Please contact me for further details or a copy of the poster or detailed specs for building it.

The Array Drive can now be purchased from Microprobes Inc.
